Delighted to have been invited to participate in a fascinating symposium about the role of the artist in the city, which took place at the Guildhall Library on 6th November 2019. A collaboration between the Guildhall Gallery and Your London Publishing. Wonderful to join artists David Hepher, Timothy Hyman RA, Hannah Starkey and Ben Johnson. Dr Cathy Ross provided a fascinating overview of London as 5 distinct artist quarters. We were gently questioned by Alex Werner, Director of the Museum of London Collections and Elizabeth Scott, Curator at Guildhall Gallery, who talked about the current exhibition 'Architecture of the City'! A wonderful journey into London and it's artists.

AuthorMy work is informed by life in East London and attempts to reflect its changing character and mood through a series of 'timescapes' conveying the disappearing landmarks and shifting communities of this part of the city. My latest project has been to co-curate Urban Contemporaries a meeting point of painters involved in responding to the urban experience. Archives
